Hyundai Tucson: Seat Electrical / Seat Heater Switch Repair procedures

Inspection
Front Seat Heater Switch
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the floor console upper cover (A) using the appropriate tool.

3.
Remove the seat heater switch module (A).

   
Take care not to damage the hook when removing the switch.
4.
Disconnect the driver and assist seat heater switch connector (A).

5.
Check that continuity exists between the terminals after turning the driver seat heater switch ON.

6.
Check that continuity exists between the terminals after turning the assist seat heater switch ON.

7.
If the switch fails to operate, replace the driver and assist seat heater switch (A).

2nd Seat Heater Switch
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Remove the power window switch from rear door trim.
(Refer to BE group - "Power window switch")

3.
Turn 2nd seat heater switch ON and check that continuity exists between the terminals.

4.
If the switch fails to operate, replace the 2nd seat heater switch.

   
Take care not to damage the hook when removing the seat heater switch.
