Hyundai Tucson: Automatic Transaxle Control System / Transaxle Oil Temperature Sensor Repair procedures

Inspection
1.
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.
Disconnect the solenoid valve connector (A).

3.
Measure resistance between sensor signal terminal and sensor ground terminal.
4.
Check that the resistance is within the specification.
Removal
1.
Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air cleaner")
2.
Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
3.
Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")
4.
Remove the valve body.
(Refer to Hydraulic System - "Valve Body")
5.
Disconnect the solenoid valve connector (A).

6.
Remove the solenoid valve main connector mounting clip (A) after removing the bolt.

7.
Remove the solenoid valve main connector (A).

8.
Disconnect the input & output speed sensor connector (A) after press the lock from the solenoid valve main wiring.

9.
Remove the solenoid valve main wiring&oil tempreature sensor after loosening the main connctor bolt (A).

Installation
1.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
   
Replace the valve body gasket (A) before reinstalling the valve body cover.

Adding automatic transaxle fluid.
(Refer to Hydraulic system - "Fluid")
Perform TCM learning after replacing the automatic transaxle to prevent slow automatic transaxle response, jerky acceleration and jerky startup.
